Hi everyone. I've been slacking, I know.

Only not really. October's always a busy time for me, lots of family/friend birthdays, getting boyo ready for trick or treating (He's 10 now, so I figure I only have a year or so left before he thinks he's too old.

), and Halloween parties, and Samhain festivities...busybusy.
This year, though, we apparently decided we didn't have enough going on, so we're in the process of buying a house too. We'd been looking at one, back in the spring, but with the hubby spending the summer laid off, we put that aside. Thankfully, it's still for sale (I assume it was waiting for us *grin*), and we're doing everything in our power to get the show on the road. Now, though, we've hit a "Sit and wait" portion for the next weekish, which will be nice, in that we'll be able to focus on festivities.

On the arty front, I'm working on some ACEO's, including my very first dragon. Which will be extremely generic, I think, but it's a start. *laugh* I'm also sneakily working on a birthday present for a very good friend who I proudly consider one of my adoptive mothers. It's a faerie scene (Of course), based around the month of January, which is when her birthday is.
Lastly, my uncle, who I love with everything I am, told me he wanted an original of mine, and to be a goofy shit, he said he wanted it of Metallica, singing Whiskey in the Jar. After debating about doing a drunken faerie scene, I have since decided to comb through their massive catalogue and pick a song that I think would be meaninful for both of us (We're both fans), and do an interpretive piece, to be a shit back to him. *grin*
I've also been toying a little bit with Second Life "photography" (which is just screanshot manipulation, something I've got some skill at, even if I am out of practice), and pose making, to keep my from going completely apeshit while we wait for the final "Yes, you get this house." crap to be done so I can start packing and throwing crap out. *grin*
Hope everyone's doing well, and being safe and happy. And again, I have to say I hope

is doing well, as I think of ya fairly often. *hugs*
